Outside of being convenient for the WSOP, I would never choose or recommend this property. Hosting the hottest events, Valley View is one of the top venues in Southern California, and it's been known to hosts the top. Gist shop and cafe prices were high, as expected on the strip, but gouging people for water and basics is just sheer greed. Buying Valley View Casino Center tickets from Vivid Seats gets you into the same venue where legends like Jimi Hendrix and the Rolling Stones have played and champions like Muhammad Ali and Ken Norton have fought. Wallpaper was torn and coming of walls in some hallways and things were just not being kept up. Rooms were adequate at best and are in need of renovation. The service level here is many levels down from those resorts. Maria in the VIP check in was one of the worse employees I’ve seen in this type of position and our usual “go to” hotels for poker in Vegas are the Wynn and Bellagio. We are Diamond level and to summarize our experience, we had an issue in the VIP reception with a late check out request that made us feel unappreciated and the only thing the staff focused on was how many more dollars they could fleece us for. The few bright spots were Nobu (which is an independent restaurant), the valet staff and the staff at Cafe Americano.
We were here 25 nights over a span of 30 days. Stayed at Paris for the first time since they moved the WSOP here.
